Dr. Frances Zhao is a scientist, and Senior Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at Columbia University. She Graduated from Fudan University and obtained her Ph.D. from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry. Professor Zhao has a profound influence in the medical community. She has twice won awards from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has twice connected top experts to help fight epidemics. In 2003, she facilitated the visit of "virus hunter" Professor Lipkin to China to fight against SARS, and in 2020 facilitated the cooperation between Columbia University's virus experts and China. She helps students apply to schools, and is a recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award at the United Nations Women's Conference.
